The war between Reim and Magnostadt continues, the tragic reality of war is brought before everyone's eyes. We see how magician's especially on the front row are lying down injured.
It seems that Aladdin finally decides to approach the battlefield by flying after seeing all the injured magicians. He thinks whether or not he should fight as well against Reim. He seems from the sky that Magnostadts soldiers are using some kind of magic items, spears that shoot flames forward.
A huge explosion happens around Magnostadt: it obliterates Reim soldiers all around the city, a truly powerful magic weapon. Aladdin watches this, terrified.
The weapon shoots again, this time with more focused rays.
Something happens in behind Reim's lines. Scheherazade says "your turn was after all the barriers would be broken" to which this mysterious person answers while holding a huge rock on her that she couldn't bear to watch anymore.

Comments, Highlights and Predictions
Chapter 170 was a good chapter. It was almost pure action and we got to see the weapon in work. It was almost like I tought, but even better. I though it would only shoot huge lasers, but it seemed to also make a huge "explosion" around the city. It's also great to finally see Fanalis corps in action.
As for predictions, I believe that the fanalis corps will be doing pretty huge damage against Magnostadts forces: they may even be able to take down the "Magnostadt weapon", I think by either destroying the structure of it or slashing the tubes which give energy to it. It may be that Aladdin doesn't stay aside and may start doing something, most likely tries to stop the war. Hopefully he succeeds, but I think it won't be probable.
