Historys Strongest Disciple Kenichi 509: The only grappling move in boxing

Comments

Not what I expected, but the result in Takeda vs. Lugh fight was a decent one. I think that it's pretty wise from the author no to kill characters left and right to make it impact more when a character is actually killed to make it more effective.

In the end nothing special in chapter 509: good guys win as always, but I have to say that Lugh was an interesting character in terms of his fighting ability. I liked his way of fighting with using precise attacks to the joints, but the "ki sensing" ability went a bit overboard but not too much.

Recap of Historys Strongest Disciple Kenichi 509: Life and death decided in an instant

The battle between Takeda and Lugh is nearing its end.

Takeda starts hitting with several Warp punches continuously. Kensei's making a notion how he broke Lugh's ribs.

Lugh however maanged to grab a hold of Takedas left hand and puts his hand at the same time behind his neck to target Takedas medulla. The aim is to get Takeda to take a step back and kill him by that.

However Takeda steps forward instead and uses the only grappling move in boxing: clinch.

Takeda then finishes Lugh with a pressing liver blow hitting with his both hands and is defeated.

Kensei starts walking away saying that when a person suffers a major loss his life as a martial artist usually ends.

Takeda doesn't agree with this referring to his battle with Kenichi.

The last page implies that next chapter we will be focusing on Miu and Rimi and their battle in which it seems that only clothes are damaged by their attacks.
