Toriko 219: Toriko vs. Starjun

Recap of Toriko Chapter 219: The Fighting Begins!!:

Toriko is behind Starjun saying to take this outside. Starjun makes the Camp fire explode using Camp Fire "Chuubi". There is immense heat around Starjun and Toriko, Komatsu is fortunately protected by Zebra's Sound armor. Chef Zaus happened to be around Starjun so he's now either fainted or dead in the ground.

Toriko yells to Zebra to make a barrier around the audience: not because of the heat, but because of Toriko going all out. Toriko uses Leg Knife which Starjun dodges but it still manages to shake him by hitting the ground so hard, even the audience is hit by it. Toriko manages to hit Starjun with Leg Fork right after that.

Now it's Coco's time to shine. He says that when he uses this poison with just one drop not even bones will be left. He uses Machine Gun Poison and shoots everything that is in the sky, the flying monsters hit by the poison begin to melt instantly.

However, the bullets change their course:  Bishokukai Sous Chef Grinpatch is shown sucking them inside and not being affected by them, he actually wants more of them. Coco promises to give him even more dangerous poison.

Meanwhile Sani is taking Komatsu with his sensors and guarding him but suddenly his hair gets cut off. Bishokukai Sous Chef Tommyrod has entered the arena and it seems he has new bug inside him. He cut off Sanis hair with a huge claw that was only a part of some huge bug. It's going to be Sani vs. Tommyrod.

Some monsters land at the audience, but one of them melts away instantly: the chefs are joining the battle fighting by themselves.

Comments and Predictions

Yeah, finally the battle picks up. It's great to see everyone getting some time to shine.

We got great match ups in this chapter, which are Coco vs. Grinpatch, Toriko vs. Starjun and Coco vs. Tommyrod. Chefs are most likely going to take care of the excess of monsters and some other Bishokukai.

 It's weird that we didn't see Mansam in this chapter even though he made himself huge last chapter, well, his time will undoubtly come.

 It's too bad that Zebra didn't get any matchup in this chapter, his job is at least currently to protect the audience and Komatsu perhaps.

Next Toriko chapter 220 I think we'll be seeing something along these lines: Toriko will keep fighting Starjun and we may or may not see the other matchups, even though I think it would be best to focus on one battle at the time, since they will all be very interesting.
