I get shivers even thinking about this scene.
Monkey D. Dragon: I still remember the speculation where people discarded him being Luffys father because he would have such a stupid name. I think that's why it was so well planned surprise by Oda.
I had been interested in exactly how Luffy was actually saved from execution in Roguetown, a bolt of lightning struck Buggy as well as the execution stand where Roger himself was executed years before. Since we've already seen lightning powered Eneru so it would be weird for Dragon to have lightning based power. I think the most logical power for Dragon would most likely be something related to wind and gust blowing the soldiers away. But just how Dragon had been portrayed ominously following the lightning struck seemed to imply that the lightning was not a freak accident. Did Dragon save Luffy at the stand or was Luffy simply really blessed?
